Wireless Access
I'm overseeing a project to have WAP's installed on a military base overseas. The purpose for the WAP's is recreational Internet usage. We're fully prepared to initiate action and get the ball rolling however we have one sticking point. We would like to establish a "splash" page that the users must click through before connecting to the Internet. To meet this expressed need, it was suggested that we purchase Proxim AP-2500 routers. With that said, our research has been as clear as mud in determining the functionality of this specific router. Essentially, can this router or any other router, create a splash page (i.e. disclaimer notice) that the user must agree to the terms before accessing the Internet? Before you answer the question, there is one more detail. Can the router create this splash page without a server or without the user being redirected to a disclaimer on a website? In other words, does this router function as a stand-alone router to include a built-in splash page option?
