This past Sunday (jan 18) Lee, Matt, Dave and Drew met Kreigan at a potential new location at Sherman Heights (zip 92102). Click on the first photo to get a quick overview of the site and its location. As you can see its quite high and has good visibility. We have the ok to put a small omni right at the peak of the roof, so coverage should be good in all directions. Click on the images to zoom and for descriptions:

Next steps are to put together a cost proposal. Our current thinking is that we'll use the following:

• Smartbridges Airpoint PRO TOTAL for the relay to Pink Palace.
• Smartbridges Airpoint-PRO Outdoor AP
• Maxrad MFB24008DT12 8dBi Omni with 12 degree downtilt
• All the usual bits and pieces: lightning protection, N-male-N-male cable, outdoor ethernet cable, NEMA box for POE equipment.

We estimate total cost will be <$1000 as the radios together are around $700, the antenna is ~$80 and the bits and pieces will be approx $200.
