We were having problems with link quality after the original installation, so we added a taller pole. Signal strength went from -87dBi to nothing up to -69dBi to -80dBi. A wide variation, but 10-15 dBi better. Enough to make the difference between a bad link and a great link.

Seems like you have some extra coax between the radios and antennas. At these high frequencies, signal loss can be significant. I am considering building a similar mesh network but was thinking of using Ubiquiti Bullets that have n-male connectors on them that can attach directly to antennas eliminating the need for coax and feed line loss.
