This Saturday we're installing a complete wireless broadband system for the Golden Villa residents and nearby neighbors. Also installing a computer lab with 6 donated computers and helping residents setup their computers. Everyone is welcome to come and help with any part of the day. SoCalFreeNet.org is hosting a Community Wireless BOF (Birds of a Feather) at the O'Reilly ETech conference in San Diego. O'Reilly assures us that evening entrance is unmonitored, so anyone is welcome to join in whether they're a conference attendee or not. Over 150 people attended the event and it was a great success, largely due to strong support from the participating User Groups.
